What should I consider when hiring an arborist for tree removal?
There are crucial aspects to evaluate when selecting an arborist for tree removal services. How qualified they are – can they show you similar work done in the past, insurance – do they have cover if (god forbid) something doesn’t go to plan, and permits to ensure a safe and efficient process for your property.

What are the benefits of crown lifting for my trees, and when is it necessary?

How can I identify signs of tree disease, and when should I consult an arborist?
How to spot signs of tree disease and when to seek professional help is not always obvious. But things like leaf discolouration and abnormal growth patterns can signify potential issues. It’s good to get on top of any signs early to safeguard your trees' health.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree?
Maybe. Some municipalities in the area do require a permit for removing trees. It often depends on the size and the location of the tree, whether the tree is a hazard, whether it is a street tree, an invasive species, etc. The arborists at Elite Tree Care can help you determine whether permits apply and assist you in obtaining them.
Do I have to be home for the removal process?
No. As long as you can provide the contractors with access to the property, you do not need to be home for the process.
How often should I have my trees inspected by an arborist?
The frequency of your tree inspections depends on the different factors like the weather and climate, types of trees, and your property. Tree assessments should ideally be completed every 1-3 years to check-up on your tree health. If you detect signs of decay and disease or there’s been extreme weather, it’s best to immediately book in an inspection to identify any underlying issues and treat your trees back to health.
Can an arborist save a tree?
An arborist can often save a tree through proper care and maintenance. Arborists assess the condition of a tree to determine the best course of action to promote its health and longevity. We can provide services such as pruning, fertilisation, disease management, and pest control to address issues that may be affecting the tree. However, not all trees can be saved and in some cases, tree removal may be the best option for safety reasons.
